You have heard a fair bit about iLab over the past few months. Now is your chance to experience the computer laboratory project for the first time and, in doing so, help the LookingGlass4 team make sure that everything is set for its release.
Today the LookingGlass4 team is releasing a closed beta version of iLab to a select group of Informatics and faculty information technology staff members. The team invites you to test the product and to report any bugs that you find on your travels. The team is seeking your feedback regarding the user experience as a whole.
iLab 1.0 will simulate Macquarie University's general-purpose computer labs, providing overflow capacity for them and laying the foundations for future releases that will deliver course- and unit-specific applications.
Please take some time over the next few days to test iLab. At ilab.mq.edu.au you will find step-by-step on-screen instructions that explain how to access the Microsoft Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard desktops from the Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, iOS and Android operating systems.
Submit your feedback by sending an email to the LookingGlass4 team to firstname.lastname@example.org.
