
Microsoft for Students enables Macquarie University students access to digital downloads of the Microsoft Office Suite for FREE on up to 5 PCs and 5 mobile devices, including Windows, Mac OS X, iOS and Android.

Yes.
How do I get it?
Open the Internet browser of your choice and go to https://portal.office.com
Then simply click on Install now on the right of the screen or follow the instructions on how to install Office 365 on devices
Is this the full version of Office?
Yes, the full Office including Skype for Business and Outlook (for personal use) - Suite does not include Microsoft Project or Microsoft Visio.
Who is eligible to download and use the Office suite?
All current students with a Macquarie University email address.
Is the Office Suite available for offline use?
Yes, if you have installed it on your desktop/laptop/device.
How many devices can I download the software on?
5 Windows/Mac machines + 5 Tablets + 5 Devices = 15 installations in total.
What programs are available for Windows?
These include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook (for personal use), Skype for Business, Power BI, InfoPath & OneDrive for Business.
What programs are available for Mac?
These include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook (for personal use).

What system requirements do I need to download Office?

How long do I have access to this offer?
For as long as you are a current or future student with a Macquarie University email address.
What happens when I finish Uni?
To continue using Office 365 services including retaining your files stored on your OneDrive, you will need to register or purchase a license. Your access to Office 365 University will end 30 days after your enrolment ceases, including access to files on your OneDrive.
Your responsibilities:
It is your responsibility to make your own arrangements to backup and/or transfer those documents and files to a suitable storage device or to another online storage environment by that time. If you wish to continue to have the right to continue use Microsoft Office 365 (or any other version of Microsoft Office), on your devices, 30 days after your enrolment ceases, it is your responsibility to make your own arrangements to purchase and/or subscribe for Microsoft Office 365 (or that other version of Microsoft Office) by that time. Will my software be automatically updated?
Yes
Can I deactivate an installation?
Yes. Login to https://portal.office.com, click on Settings (the wheel cog on the top right of the window) > under My apps settings click on Office 365 > on the left pane of the new window, click on Install status. The right pane will now display your device installation status. Click on Deactivate under the required device whose installation you wish to deactivate.
