What do Alerts look like?

Email Alerts

An Alert email will have the following in the subject line: MQ Emergency Alert and will be sent from alerts@mq.edu.au.

Email content will include:

  1. Your name
  2. Situation Type
  3. Location
  4. Situation Details
  5. Action Required
  6. Applicable responses
  7. Link to instantly notify the Alerts application of your whereabouts and registers your response. Click here for an Alerts.mq.edu.au response example.

SMS Alerts

An Alert SMS will commence as: MQ Emergency Alert (situation type).

SMS content will include:

  1. Subject
  2. Situation Type
  3. Location
  4. Situation Details
  5. Action Required
  6. Applicable Responses. Responding to the SMS with one of the options 1, 2 or 3 in the body of the SMS instantly notifies the Alerts application of your whereabouts.
  7. Contact Number
  8. Notification ID
